The online facility has been designed primarily for Online Saver and Online ISA products. The good news is that a selection of our excellent Bonds and Postal Accounts can now be opened online, however, some further developments to the system are required and there are some points you should know. Please note the following:

Online application form

Although your chosen account will be displayed during the application process, when you print the application form it will show “Online Saver”. You can be assured that your chosen product has been processed and this can be verified in ‘Your Account View’.

Passbook

Once we receive your application form and appropriate identification the account will be opened and a passbook sent to you. Refer to the terms and conditions for details of operation of your chosen account i.e. postal or branch based.

Email confirmation:

1. you will receive an automatic email that refers to our standard Online Saver account with an opening minimum balance of £100.00. This may not be applicable to the account you are opening. Please refer to the terms and conditions of your chosen account for confirmation of the minimum opening balance.



2. The email specifies acceptable identification to send to us with your application and cheque. If, however, you are an existing member of the Society with an account that has been transacted upon in the last 3 years, further identification is not required. If your account has not been active in the last 3 years further identification may be requested.

Interest payment options

All our accounts offer various interest options. Please write on the application form next to your bank details one of the following:

Please add interest to my/our account annually

OR

Please pay interest to my existing account with the Society – Quote account number.

OR

Please pay the annual interest to my bank as quoted.

Please note – for accounts with monthly interest, the interest must be paid to your bank or another account with the Society.
