The Marie Curie Great Daffodil appeal

Leeds Building Society has raised over £1,000 for the 2010 Marie Curie Cancer Care Great Daffodil Appeal. This annual campaign runs each Spring and the Society’s 67 Branches have been accepting donations for the daffodils from members of the public.

Money raised from the Marie Curie Cancer Care Great Daffodil Appeal goes towards providing more free nursing care for people with a terminal illness in their own home and the charity’s hospices. Paul Kaye, Leeds Building Society’s General Manager Sales said,

“The Daffodil campaign is one of the highlights of the year and signals the start to the year’s fundraising activity. Marie Curie Cancer Care is one of Leeds Building Society’s partner charities and a variety of events are planned for the remainder of the year. I am confident that the generosity of our staff and customers will help us raise more money for Marie Curie Cancer Care during the remainder of 2010.”
